Well the NCN Hosting Program is considering providing it to you. All you would have to do is apply for the NCN Hosting Program as normal, afterward heading to http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new to set up all the emails you could ever dream of, for free.

I think it's pointless, as I've stated before, because anyone with an FTP acct can have an email attached to that ftp, with mail forwarded to their normal account, so I still don't see the point of this...

I can see your reasoning brooks. But it really does no't account to the ncn. To register to the site you need to register an email with your account. And the way ncn is set up, you can easily email someone through the site. Why bother to register a new ncn email that no one will use. I have owned my share of domains and yes I even offered domain email accounts but that was the way I set up my network. NCN is set up completely different, if people check their gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc. They should be able to keep it. Why bother setting up another email that people will just forward to their main one anyways, don't know if that google app allows it. But yeah, I am sure myself and chozo appreciate trying to make ncn a better community.

Well if you're someone with OCD, like me, you'd want everything to match.

I use the webmaster@ambientborealis.com account for stuff just related to the site, so it keeps my work and personal emails separate. I never log in via browser, though, because I use Thunderbird to check both my gmail account and the A|B one at the same time.

Site email isn't necessary, but it's nice if what it to look uniform.

That is true ABA. Heck, at this point its more of the administrator obinion to give that priviledge or not. Also, thunderbird would help keeping in check all the users emails. I also use it, for 4 seperate email accounts. So what ever you and Chozo decide I guess.

My point is that I can assign Email's through my hosting if someone wanted it to any domain that I have pointed to my nameservers.

So yea, if you want the free email leading to your domain from me, you have to be hosted by me, which is easy free and fun.

good point, ABA. it is a struggle to be taken seriously for some of these folks, and XxRapperXxX242@gmail.com does not help their cause.

mssodin also has a point. ncn seems to have the networking front pretty well covered. many people are fairly well established with their current email.

Considering YTCracker's email is "rapper@gmail.com", I'm not too worried about it, lol.

You're nuts bro, it doesn't matter where he got the email from, it's in no way descriptive of who he is or promotes his domain at all, which is what you want here thusly making my point 100% valid.

Anyone that is hosted by me can request email accounts for their domains, no one has asked for one yet, no one has responded that they want this here or anywhere.
